I Set Up A Posterous Site

With my upcoming Deployment again this fall, I was a little worried about how I'm going to keep up with things like blogs, twitter and facebook while I'm out of the country.

Fortunately, I happened to notice a few people using a site/service called posterous.

Basically, I can make posts to my blog, facebook, twitter, and many other services simply be sending an email.  This is in addition to the new blog at http://toddmorris.posterous.com which records everything in one place.

This should be perfect for when I'm down range.  It's not out of the question that I may very well be able to access my wordpress blog, and the various social media sites while I'm deployed.  However, there's also a chance that those sites could be blocked.  On the other hand, it's almost a sure thing that I'll have access to at least one of my email accounts.

I'm heading for Florida next week for 5 weeks of field training.  The only internet access I may have is via my t-mobile sidekick.  It should be a good opportunity to test out how well blogging via email and text message works for me.

Do any of you have a posterous blog yet?  If so, do you have any advice or tips for me?

Thanks in advance,
Todd
